LOCAL FOOD
BIRK will with pleasure make food for your group visiting. We make simple, honest local food with local ingredients such as reindeer, moose, pike, king crab, cod, cloud berries, cranberries, blueberries and more. What we will make for you will be a surprise - we do not operate with an ala carte menu, but will make local food for you all.
From May 2024 we only make food for groups more than 8 guests, maximum 40 pax. We also only offer meals duing weekends and holidays as we work full time on the side and do not have any emploees
We depend on all food orders being made well in advance of your visit, minimum 14 days ahead of the visit. The whole group will be served the same menu. When ordering, we need information about all food allergies in the group, as well as the number of vegans and vegetarians. We cannot cater for this when the information is placed on spot.
VIKING LONGHOUSE
Close to the border river at BIRK you find our unique Viking long house restaurant. Here we do welcome parties from 10 to 40 guests at the time from late March out the month of November.
All meals must be pre booked - we serve the same meal to all guests in the group.

SAMI "LAVVUGAMME"
For smaller groups (8-12 guests) we serve meals in our Sami lavvugamme, We do serve in here all year, be prepared that it might be a a bit cold during the coldest winter months even with the bonfire running.
This "lavvugamme" is a combination of the traditional Sami lavvu that use to be movable and a gamme - a turf house with a fire place in the middle.

Would you like an offer on a special event for groups larger than 40 - please do not hesitate to contact us.
We have made food for groups opp to 200 persons and served both outdoor, in barns and in the local village house that is possible to rent.
We have made food and served both for wedding parties, big birthdays and company events.
